CAGANER

ENRIC PLANAS & CARLES PIERA

El Caganer, despite its mundane appearance, represents an icon of Catalan culture. This Caganer installation has been conceived to dignify this figure, highlighting its mythological and magical aspect through high-quality materials and an oversized scale. All this to exalt and highlight its most mystical and magical side. Similar to the masks of the pharaohs, the Inca statues or the Asian Buddhas, our Caganer is elevated to the category of deity in this work.

The caganer is an icon of Catalan culture and, as such, I have decided in this work to elevate it to an almost divine level.
