This work is inspired by “Love is Blind”, the iconic TVBOY piece that appeared on Passeig de Gràcia during Sant Jordi in 2017. The work, starring Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo hugging and kissing, disappeared shortly afterwards, generating great controversy.
In this reinterpretation, Messi holds a rose and Ronaldo a book, symbols of love and culture that represent the tradition of Sant Jordi.
TVBOY, pseudonym of Salvatore Benintende, was born in Palermo in 1980. After studying in Milan and Bilbao, he settled in Barcelona, where he developed his career as one of the most internationally recognized urban artists.
His works have been exhibited in museums, galleries and streets around the world, including the MUDEC in Milan and the Disseny Hub in Barcelona.
