In Barcelona you have more than 40 museums to understand where our culture comes from. But only one dedicated to experiencing it.
In fact, for many people in the cultural and museum field we would not even be a museum. We do not comply with the traditional definition of the word, nor with its logic and rituals. We do not ask our visitors to be silent. Or don't touch anything. We are not a repository of big names that have been dead for years. We won't tell you how to take the photos.
We are only going to ask one thing of you: that you have fun.
THE OFF-MUSEUM
Have fun getting to know another side of Catalan culture. Discovering how artists from Barcelona reinterpret our traditions, whether they were born here or not. Have fun putting your head in a capgros, playing a giant caganer, dancing as if you were in Razzmatazz. Because not all art should be contemplative. Therefore, have fun in a “museum”.
